Hi all. I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth. I've just been sick. As in, stayed in bed all weekend sick. So, truly, there is nothing terribly exciting to report.
Prague is WAY busier than it was just a few weeks ago. Tourists are out in droves and transporation is pretty crazy. There was a strike here yesterday on the train and bus lines and at the hospitals - and given that no one knew it was going to happen, it caused some major issues for people and backed up the metros for a long time.
Amanda and I secured our ISIC cards and our tickets for Brno, Budapest, and Vienna for two weekend trips coming up. This was quite the fiasco today - ending with a margarita for Amanda and a mojito for me just to celebrate our ability to get it all done.
Work is going well - I'm estimating that I will have written over a hundred pages of documents this summer, which is good. It's nice to be back in the swing of writing, though sometimes I want to bash my head against a wall. I have the opportunity to attend CEELI's annual board meetings next week, so it will be me and a whole lot of (Republican) lawyers. Which is always fun, right? Actually, I'm most excited about the evening at the Ambassador's house, which is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous.
I can honestly say that I'm starting to get a bit homesick. The lack of smiles is really getting to me, as is the pushing, shoving, and impatience with my English that seems to be getting a little harder each day, especially as the city gets busier and busier. I miss Robert and am super excited to see him and travel to Canada. But, I keep reminding myself to live in the moment (I'm such a plan-ahead-er), and I think it will be good to be out of Prague for a couple of days. All of the places I've visited outside of the city center have been friendlier, and I think that's what I need right now - some relaxation in a pretty place, some good wine, and to play tourist for a weekend.
That's all I can think of for now. Hope things are well with all of you.

You should traipse on over to Hahn Air Force Base (now a RyanAir hub) and pay homage to the birthplace of the one Robert A. Taylor. It's a $15-20 flight. Did I ever tell you that I used to think his middle name was Ellen?
Sara - As life is starting to get back to normal, I have taken the last hour to look through your amazing blog. Seeing your face and reading all that has been going on has put a smile on my face. I miss you girl! Love you and keep enjoying the moment - Elise
