This has to be a quick one - but I wanted to write these few things down before I forgot. I have has several "signs from home" that I wanted to share.
*Small Czech boy wearing a Branson, Missouri hat on the metro yesterday. The back of the hat said, "Proud to be an American."
*Young (17, maybe?) Czech woman on the bus with me yesterday was listening to typical euro-dance music when all of a sudden, the Doobie Brothers "Black Water" came blaring through her headphones and she bobbed her head right along with it.
*Came home to Uholicky yesterday to a man playing a banjo on the front stoop. I'm pretty sure banjos are not the rage in the Czech Republic, so I thought it was great.
*The bus driver turned on the radio for the first time ever this morning and the song that was playing when I got onto the bus was "What a Feeling" from Flashdance. . .I love Flashdance.
*Finally, the bus driver has about 30 tiny stuffed animals hanging from his windshield. Today, however, I noticed that he also has a Confederate Flag hanging up there with the words "Rebel Forever." I tried to ask him about it, but alas, no English.
Ok - so kind of random, but I can't express how odd it is to see/hear American iconography here. . .it doesn't happen much, especially outside of the touristy areas, so to see several instances in a few days is weird.

Blackwater really? Now if it had been China Grove or Long Train Running it would have been magical.
Hope you are doing well.
