Okay - sorry. It's been a few days, but the internet has been touch and go, so I've had a tough time posting.
Amazing things from the past few days:
1) Waiting for the train from Uholicky to Prague yesterday, I heard this beautiful singing male voice, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where it was coming from for several minutes. Finally, looking across the river, I saw a man farming in his field hundreds of feet away - he was the beautiful voice, and the wind must have carried it up into the hills. It was one of those unbelievable moments where I felt like we were the only two people in the world. I felt so privileged to be right there at that exact moment in time.
2) Prague has some of the fastest escalators in the world. While my friends might get malaria or get eaten by lions, I may die trying to take the escalator up from Namesti Miru.
3) Amanda and I had a great day at the National Museum and the Prague Castle. Truly, unbelievable. The best part, by far, was the awesome torture chamber that had a real rack. I've never seen one in real life. It was a fantastic day, and Amanda showed me a great italian restaurant. It was also great to see a familiar face. :)
4) I have bought two sandwiches, a chocolate bar, and a coke light all by myself using my unbelievably limited Czech. So, contrary to popular belief, I won't starve to death.
5) I found a bus that makes it much easier to go to work. So I am going to stick it out in my tiny little village of 600 people. . .mainly because I don't want to a) get thrown out of some random sublet due to international law differences, and b) my hosts are so nice and spent 5 hours trying to set up internet in my room. Unfortunately, the internet has not been working at home, so it's pretty much moot whether I have it in my room or not.
6) I am so happy here. . .there are moments where all I want to do is learn Czech and move here. Or somewhere else in Europe. It's just awesome. I mean, where else are chocolate hazelnut bars EVERYWHERE? :)
Okay, so that's enough for now. I posted a very brief slideshow of Flat Stanley in Prague, and I will try to post some more once I get a little work done.

Hey Hey. I'm glad you are adapting to Prague. How is work going so far? Escalators are evil. Plain and simple. Stairway to heaven? No. A movin stairway to hell! Anyway, I leave Wed. and my project has already changed so I hope this is not an omen. Take care.

It sounds like you are definately enjoying Prague! I've been to the castle and torture chambers as well, and it is amazing!
